Collaboration with «Dacha» family home involves organizing leisure activities for seriously ill children and trips to the National Cancer Institute.

«Dacha» is an extraordinary and important project. It is the only Center for families with seriously ill children in Ukraine, where they can live together free of charge during treatment at the National Cancer Institute and Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital.

Together with Project HOPE with support from the USAID Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance, we visited the National Cancer Institute and the Dacha Family Home. Filled with warmth and attention, we brought along educational games, workshops, and treats. Our goal is to bring joy and support to these incredibly strong children and their families.

During these visits, specialists conducted three workshops on eco-bag painting, creating florariums, and decorating gingerbread cookies for the children.

"At the treatment stage, these children have very limited contacts. The purpose of this event is that we did it all together. A child needs a community for development; they need other people - this is the advantage of group work," explains Olena, a psychologist from Project HOPE.»
